Banksy created the “Angel Bust” sculpture with a tin of pink paint tipped over its head for a takeover of the Bristol Museum in 2009. The exhibition, titled Banksy versus Bristol Museum, drew hundreds of thousands of people to the gallery. The ‘Angel Bust’ was left to contribute to the museum´s collection after the exhibition closed.
Bei der Ausstellung „Banksy vs Bristol Museum“ im Jahr 2009 übernahm der Künstler das Ruder der Institution. Dieses Ereignis zog mehrere hunderttausend Besucher an. Angel Bust stellt eine Engelsstatue dar, der ein Eimer rosa Farbe übergestülpt wurde. Nach Ende der Ausstellung überließ Banksy die Skulptur der musealen Sammlung.
