2014

In 2014, Banksy spray-painted the work Art Buff in Folkestone, Kent, announcing it as “part of the Folkestone Triennial”. The painting depicts a woman with audio guide headphones staring at the base of a column where the rest of a graffiti can be guessed. The title of the work is a play on words, as “buff“ in the jargon of the street art scene stands for painting over graffiti. On October 13 of the same year, it was reported that the mural Art Buff had gotten buffed itself and was destroyed with spray paint.
