This oil painting of choppers was created to focus on the conflict between Israel and Palestine back in 2005. It was sold as a screen print unsigned by POW (Pictures On Walls) and re-mixed for his “Crude Oils” exhibition opened in London in 2005. The beautiful landscape stands in contrast to what is disguised as a gift of peace and freedom: war and invasion. Banksy raises his graphic voice yet again to question society and political propaganda about its glamourous and romantic vision of war.
