The sculpture is one of several model boats that were on display at the Dismaland exhibition in Weston-super-Mare. It shows an over-loaded boat full of refugees, cruising around in a pool of miniature police boats and small sculptures of drowned refugees. The models were offered for raffle while the exhibition was still open to raise money for the Help Refugees charity. For a £2 stake, people could take part and guess how much the sculpture weighed. This auction was repeated in the pop-up shop “Choose Love” in London to boost fundraising there as well. Other works in Dismaland also aimed to raise awareness of the refugee issue. After dismantling, Banksy donated the wood and other structural elements to help build shelters in the Calais refugee camp.

Diese Aktion wurde in dem Pop-Up-Laden „Choose Love“ in London weitergeführt, um auch dort die Spendeneinnahmen anzukurbeln. Auch weitere Arbeiten in Dismaland zielten darauf ab, das Bewusstsein für die Flüchtlingsthematik zu schärfen. Nach dem Abbau spendete Banksy das Holz und andere Strukturelemente, um beim Bau von Unterkünften im Flüchtlingslager Calais zu helfen.

Met een inzet van £2 (ca. €2,30) konden mensen deelnemen en raden hoeveel de sculptuur woog. Deze actie werd voortgezet in de pop-upwinkel “Choose Love” in Londen om daar eveneens fondsen te werven. Andere werken in Dismaland waren eveneens bedoeld om bewustzijn te creëren rond de vluchtelingenproblematiek. Na de demontage doneerde Banksy het hout en andere structurele elementen om te helpen bij de bouw van onderkomens in het vluchtelingenkamp van Calais.
