Originally, the work appeared in a modified version on a wall in London. Toxic Rat shows a rat next to a drainage pipe from which chemicals are flowing and spreading across the London pavement. This work illustrates the urban decay or contamination caused by the toxic waste secreted by humans and industry.
Ursprünglich tauchte das Werk in einer abgewandelten Variante auf einer Mauer in London auf. Toxic Rat zeigt eine Ratte neben einem Abflussrohr, aus dem Chemikalien fließen und sich über den Londoner Bürgersteig verteilen. Dieses Werk verdeutlicht den städtischen Verfall bzw. die Verseuchung, die durch den abgesonderten Giftmüll der Menschen und der Industrie verursacht wird.
